All of our pediatricians are highly educated professionals who have undergone rigorous academic and clinical training in pediatrics. We maintain a high level of expertise through continuing education in order to provide the most up-to-date care for the patients we are privileged to serve.

Dr. Mack
James Clarke Mack, II, MD, FAAP believes there is nothing more satisfying than seeing children and their parents grow and flourish as a family. “It is an honor to be involved with maintaining both the physical and mental health of my patients,” he says. Dr. Mack completed medical school and his pediatric training at the University of Kentucky in 1980. In 1977 he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honorary Medical Society. Since being certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in 1982, Dr. Mack has been in private practice in Lexington, KY. Today, some of Dr. Mack’s first patients are parents themselves and now bring their children to see him!
Dr. Mack and his wife, Barbara, have two sons, Daniel and David and a daughter-in-law, Erica. They are very proud grandparents of Carter! Whenever they can, the Mack’s like to spend time at the beach fishing, bird watching and enjoying life.
Dr. Poole
Megan Taylor Poole, MD, FAAP, is a graduate of University of Kentucky School of Medicine and completed her residency there in 2006. Since being certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in 2006, Dr. Poole has been in private practice in Lexington, KY. The daughter of an Air Force helicopter pilot and nurse practitioner, Dr. Poole says she learned early on the importance of family. “We moved around quite a lot, so my family was my anchor. I love what children bring to families – an energy and sense of connectedness.
Dr. Poole and her husband, McGee, have 2 children, John David and Claire. She is an avid runner and loves being on the water, whether it is skiing on Lake Cumberland or playing at the pool. Dr. Poole believes that being a parent means loving your kids unconditionally, picking your battles carefully and buying stock in patience!
Dr. Easterling
Drs. Mack and Poole are excited to introduce Jessica Easterling, MD, to our pediatric practice. We are confident she exemplifies our commitment to provide your child with compassionate and nurturing medical care. She will begin seeing patients on October 15, 2012.
Dr. Easterling is a board certified pediatrician who earned her medical degree in 2007 from the University of Kentucky School of Medicine. She completed her pediatric residency training in 2010 from Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C., and recently completed a fellowship in primary care sports medicine at the University of Kentucky.
As a former student athlete in both soccer and swimming, Dr. Easterling knows the physical and mental demands that can be placed on children and adolescents involved in sports. “While sports have always been a big part of my life, I knew early on that I wanted to be a doctor who works with children. My goal is to help parents raise healthy, happy and active children.” We are delighted that Dr. Easterling has been able to blend her knowledge of pediatric medicine with her passion for athletics and that she will be able to offer her diverse expertise to our patients.
Dr. Easterling and her husband, Greg, are both from Madison County. They have two young daughters, Everly and Ansley.
